Our Coptic Orthodox Church

Our Faith

Faith is what makes us one Church. Faith is the hidden element which motivates our actions.  The Church’s rites, activities, services and mission all comes from Her one faith. The Church prays for the unity of faith.

product27 Mysteries (Sacraments) of the Coptic Orthodox Church

All the Mysteries/Sacraments spring from the merit of Christ’s blood on the Cross. Had it not been for the Cross, we would never have been worthy to approach God as His children in the Sacrament of Baptism, we would never have been worthy to partake of His Body and Blood in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, not would we have been able to enjoy the graces of any of the Church Sacraments -Pope Shenouda III.

product3History of the Coptic Church

Blessed is Egypt My people – Isaiah 19:25 God’s promise to His people is always fulfilled; He foretold that He would ride on a light and upon a swift cloud and com to Egypt. This promise was fulfilled by the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt. Thus Jesus Christ came during His childhood to Egypt to lay by Himself the foundation stone of His Church in Egypt which has become one of the four primary Sees in the world, among them Jerusalem, Antioch and Rome, and followed by the See of Constantinople -Fr. Tadros Malaty.

product4Saints of our Church

We ask the intercession of the saints because of the great favor they have with the Lord who loves them… The saints who departed are still living. The Lord explained this fact when He said, “Have you not read what was spoken to you by God saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” (Mat 22:31,32). Therefore those saints are still living. Why should we consider them dead and not ask their prayers. – Pope Shenouda III
